Dear Cate,
I thought I'd try the old school way to reach you. I've sent you multiple texts to reach you. I even tried calling you, and nothing. This isn't like you. You're usually good at returning phone calls. For the past year it's feel like you've been more distance than you've been here. Your father and I are worried about you. I know you don't think that's true because of the way we left things last when you were home, but baby that was weeks ago. Your dad actually misses you. He needs you. The boys ask about you, and we're all worried about you. One of them said they saw you one day out really mad about something and it looked as if you snapped something into two. Is there anything that's going on on? I'm your mother. You can come to me with anything. If you're feeling weary, sad, or anything I'm here for you Cate. You don't have to isolate yourself. All of us are here for you. We all want you to come back home, especially dad. We miss you.
I don't know if this is going to reach you. I hope it does. I don't know much about these email things, but I know you've had this one since you were a teenager. Hopefully didn't change it. Anyway we're still having our usual party for the holiday this 4th of July. We were sad you didn't come by the house to see us for Memorial Day, but hopefully you'll be there in July. I'm going to make your favorite this year. What's that you liked? Those patriotic things with strawberries? We never came up with a real name for it, but I figure that if you're home you'll like it. Also we're going to see the firework display this year. Your dad actually bought a ticket for you too to join us. Isn't that neat? I know you might not be into it, but I hope you are. Dad's really trying to understand everything and so am I. There's nothing you're doing that can scare either of us away. You're still our babygirl.
Ok I feel like I'm rambling now, but Cate I'm just worried. I've been seeing things lately and hearing stories about you and it's just worrying me. I know you're busy with school, but I want you to know that there's nothing out there that you can't tell me. I'm always here for you.
Now I'm rambling here LOL, but seriously Cate I expect you to call me soon. You know I'm not above coming to visit you, but I know how much you enjoy your independence, but you're still my baby and I'm worried about you. Please put my mind to ease and reach out to your mom. I'd prefer a phone call, though if you must text me I guess now is better than ever to figure out to text back. I love you Cate always. Please email me back! Or call me!
